-- PERFORMANCE NEWS
As we approach the end of our 30-week teaching program in May, an adjusted schedule will take place where certain classes may be combined for the rehearsal of specific scenes. These changes will take the place of the students’ normal class day and time that they usually attend. Combined rehearsals allow the students to practice the continual flow of their routines with the other students involved in the same dance segment. These rehearsals are necessary for a smooth running dress rehearsal. The Performance schedule with the class rehearsal days and times will be handed out in class and will be posted online under our “Peformance 2019 Link” in the next week or two. Class fees for all students that cover the additional weeks of classes/rehearsals will be due on June 1st. These fees will be posted to your online account in May.
Please check your online account if your costume balance has not been paid. Payments were due by April 1. Some costumes have already arrived, however, the majority of the costumes are scheduled to arrive in April. When the students receive their costumes, please have them try them on immediately. The costume companies set a certain time allowance for returns. If there is a drastic problem, contact the studio. Please note that these sizes are general, and alterations and adjustments may be necessary. The size that was chosen for the student was the size that best suited their measurements. The costume companies do charge an exchange fee for returns.
Volunteer Room Moms
As in the past, our dedicated volunteers have made our performance the success that it has become. With-out volunteer room moms it is impossible to take on a production of this kind. We need 2 moms from each ballet class, Intro. to Dance – Ballet 4, volunteer for dress rehearsal and or performance night. Ms. Melissa will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding room mom responsibilities. A sign-up sheet for dressing room mom volunteers will be posted on our bulletin board.
Take a dig through the basement and attic!
We are looking for props for our “Flashback” show. Items include old house phones, answering machines, cell phones, Atari game controllers, Nintendo controllers, boom box, stereo, Walkman, discman. If you have any relic that is still hanging around we would love to borrow it. Nothing has to be in working condition.
A special handout is attached concerning our program patron ads. Please consider supporting the students’ efforts with a special message.
T-Shirts, DVD’s & Star Ribbons
Please be on the look out for details related to purchasing these items for your star dancer.
