MARK YOUR CALENDAR

• UFDA Cast Party is Friday May 16, 6:00 - 8:00 PM. All UFDA performers will be receiving participation certificates at this event. This is a great family event!

RECORDING OF "HOLLYWOOD"

• If you did not purchase a Performance Package and would still like a digital download/DVD/Flash Drive of the performance please email the studio. 
• Remember that NO recording of the show is allowed.

ATTENDANCE

• Attendance is important. We realize that some absences cannot be avoided; however, unless you are sick please make every attempt to attend the classes regularly. 
• The teacher has the right to limit participation in their choreography if absences are excessive (more than 1 per month in each dance class).

PERFORMANCE PROGRAM PATRON ADS

• Advertise a business or create an ad to send a shoutout to your dancer. A copy of a previous program is located on our bulletin board, for examples. More info here.

COSTUME REMINDERS

• Please do not allow your children wear their costume at home so it can remain in good condition for the show. Check that the costume came with all accessories needed and make any alterations needed in advance. 
•  All costumes have been packaged in bags and will need to be hung and steamed to remove wrinkles.

COSTUMES

• Costumes have started to arrive and more will be coming in this month. However, most costumes will not arrive until Spring. Please do not allow your children to play in or wear their costumes until dress rehearsal so it can remain in good condition for the show. Check for any hair accessories that may be included with the costume. All costumes have been packaged in bags and will need to be hung and steamed to remove wrinkles. Pictures of the selected costumes are posted in the kitchen area. Details on tights & changes or additions to the costumes will be posted as decided. Note that costumes come in general size ranges and although costumes were ordered closest to each students’ measurements, individual adjustments may be necessary.

COSTUME DEPOSITS & JUNE PERFORMANCE

• Your costume deposit of $50 per dance class is your confirmation of participation in the performance on June 15. 
• Costume Deposit is due December 1st and will be posted in your account after the 15th. Families on autopay will have payment taken out with Dec. tuition.  Session classes, Syllabus classes, (Monday Class) Ballet 7, Beginning Pointe, (Thursday Class) Int./Adv. Ballet & Pointe will not be performing  and do not require a costume deposit. 
• Attendance during the months March-June will be very important. If you believe your dancer will miss more than a few classes during these months due to other obligations, please talk to Ms. Melissa to discuss non-performance options.
• If your child will not be participating in the annual performance, download the “non-performance form” and hand into your instructor by December 15.
• Families new to UFDA please read the attached document with general information about our June Performance.

DRESS CODE

As colder weather approaches, students can wear a fitted dance sweater and or dance warm-ups over their leotard. No street wear is allowed over their leotard. Dance sweaters can be purchased at discountdance.com, search our studio store w/ required & suggested uniforms.

WELCOME STUDENTS
It’s been wonderful to see all the dancing feet back in the studio and to hear the excitement as dancers connect with new and familiar faces! A huge thank you to our incredible dance teachers for making the first few weeks such a success. We’re thrilled about the upcoming year and 

can’t wait for many enjoyable and productive classes at UFDA!

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

• Dancers should arrive no more than 5-10 minutes before their class.
• PARKING LOT - Please do not park, drop off or pick up students along the garden side of our studio building. Parents can park in Salem Church’s lot.

DRESS CODE

• Students must have their hair pulled back and away from their face (pony tail, bun or french braid is acceptable) during all dance classes. UFDA DRESS CODE. We appreciate your cooperation. 

TUITION

• Tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month. Auto pay will process on the 1st business day of the month.
• All CC have a 3.1% Transaction fee. ACH Payments have no fee.

TGIF @ UFDA

• Friday, October 18 - UFDA will host a master class in Dance Improvisation for dancers ages 13+. UFDA Alumni, Zoe Papaeraculous will be teaching this class. Dancers outside of UFDA are invited to enroll. Register in the UFDA Portal.
• Friday, November 15 - Hip Hop Master Class. 6-7pm ages 8-11, 7-8pm ages 12+. Dancers outside of UFDA are invited to enroll.

DANCE CLASSES

• Space still available in Beginning Jazz (8-week session). Class begins October 8.
• Space still available in our Creative Movement classes for ages 2-3 & 3-4. 6-week session begins October 14.

SAVE THE DATE: JUNE PERFORMANCE

• Our performance is scheduled for June 14. Dress Rehearsal on June 13.
• Costume Deposits will be due December 1. $50 per dance style can be paid at anytime prior to December 1 on your portal. Session, syllabus & 2nd ballet classes do not perform in the show. If you would like to pay early, email the studio to arrange payment.
